The Not-for-Profit organization which operates the North Welcome Station, Woodlands Nature Station, Golden Pond Visitor Center, Homeplace 1850s Working Farm, and the South Welcome Station needs to hire persons who are friendly, outgoing, people who demonstrate great customer service, persons who are knowledgeable about history, science, and are willing to learn other information to function well as an Information Clerk or a Gift Shop Clerk. In a work, we need retired teachers ...
Our Gift Shops only sell items which convey an interpretive message to visitors in order to reinforce the educational aspects of the visit to Land Between the Lakes.
As a non-for-profit, we pay a minimum wage for our clerks but these positions offer retirees, who would like to be active and work with other people, an opportunity to enjoy working 3 or 4 days each week between March and November each year.
We have found retiree teachers to be persons who have an excellent background and persons who have the easiest transition to the work.
If anyone is interested, they can call Jim Taylor, Director of Operations, (270) 924-2091 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org, [www.friendsoflbl.org], or go to the Golden Pond Visitor Center and ask for an application for employment.
PLEASE consider the advantages of helping visitors, both young and not so young, to learn from visiting and fully appreciate the nature which is on display at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
Sincerely, Jim Taylor
